◎簡 介

《我的高德弗里》由一處破敗的垃圾場開始，尖銳地嘲笑了貴族們無聊透頂的“狩獵”遊戲，同時也把平民化的男主角高非里帶進了一個有趣但完全頹廢的布爾喬亞家庭。那里充滿了對立，姐姐厭惡他，想方設法地陷害他；而妹妹善良正直，偏偏對這位窮管家心有獨衷。其實這位管家畢業於名牌高校，他用主人家的錢偷偷投資,最終使得這個家庭免於破產，並且為流浪漢修建了一個“垃圾場”俱樂部。當然，美人入懷也是必不可少的。男主角威廉·鮑威爾儀態儒雅，憑借偵探喜劇《瘦人》系列蜚聲好萊塢；妹妹扮演者卡羅爾·隆巴德更是美國少有的天才喜劇演員，她嫁給蓋博，並於1942年出演了劉別謙的反戰名作《生死問題》。可惜，該片尚未公映，隆巴德不幸在拉斯維加斯墜機身亡。
